Lion #99 is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. The lead story, "Captain Condor and the Space Ship Spy" by Frank S. Pepper, follows space pilot Captain Condor in the year 3000 as he pursues the dictator's escaped spy across space toward London's spaceport. "Redskin Raiders of the Railroad" depicts workers constructing a bridge in challenging terrain while contending with Native American resistance and internal sabotage, with the discovery of a feather in a barrel suggesting Redskin involvement. "Rory—Nick the Mountie's Dog" by Victor Norman tells of a dog named Mick who must choose between loyalty to his master Corporal Mick Mackenzie and his loyalty to a fellow dog named Rory, ultimately disobeying orders to save Rory from a wolf pack attack.
