Lion #98

Lion #98 is an anthology containing five picture stories and three written stories. "Captain Condor and the Space-Ship Spy" follows a space pilot in the year 3000 who has been outlawed by a planetary dictator; after hiding on the moon, Condor raids Earth's space station but finds himself battling enemy spacecraft and struggling to maintain control of the damaged station. A western story depicts a wagon team pursuing thieves through treacherous mountain terrain, including an oil field and a narrow bridge, while mounted enemies close in. "Rory—Mick the Mounties Dog" by Victor Norman tells of a Mountie corporal's new puppy who escapes and causes trouble before being tracked down by the protagonist and his sergeant. The issue also includes a "World-Wide Quiz" feature with visual trivia questions covering geography, history, animals, and general knowledge.
