Little Audrey attends a circus and sneaks past the ticket taker by hiding in a hay cart. When she discovers the elephants are hungry, she trades her fifty-cent piece for candy at Mr. Schmidt's store, planning to use it to feed them. However, an Indian at the store steals her money and chases her through town. Mr. Schmidt pursues the thief and recovers Audrey's money, but when she refuses to give him the fifty-cent piece he bought her candy with, he chases her home, where she finally escapes with her pig.
