“Max-imum Visibility”

In "Max-imum Visibility," Jimmy’s curiosity leads him to a strange formula, XXQ9456Y, that sends him on a surprising journey to another planet—though the experience leaves him with a quiet realization about the limits of discovery. A 1954 Harvey Comics gem, this issue features a clever twist on a classic sci-fi premise, with a simple, typeset lettering style that matches its playful tone.

Using a chemistry set, Jimmy accidentally discovers formula XXQ9456Y, which transports him to another planet. One of the inhabitants of that planet tells him that since he has discovered them, he can never return home. He does indeed return home, and manages to bring back a small piece of evidence from his trip, but decides to stick to easy chemistry experiments in the future.
