# Lovelorn #38 The lead story, "Big City Girl," follows a soldier stationed in Korea who falls in love with a woman he meets at a Red Canteen dance, believing she will be faithful to him while he serves. After mailing her a letter proposing marriage, he returns home to discover she has married another man named Bill in his absence. Enraged by her betrayal, the soldier confronts the couple and attacks Bill in a violent rage, vowing revenge. Fleeing in his car after the altercation, the soldier loses control on a mountain road and crashes, leaving him severely injured and lost in a dark forest where he stumbles upon an abandoned cabin, still consumed by bitterness over the woman's infidelity.
