A bandaged Pipo is recuperating in the hospital from the pummeling that Petra gave her. Khamo leaves Luba due to her infidelity. Ofelia's heart attack turns out to have been mild. After a final tête-à-tête with Luba, she leaves for good to Europe with her newly reunited lover Rico. Sergio and Gato, troubled by media intimations that Pipo is lesbian, think they can discredit these allegations if Fortunato publicly reveals his affair with Doralis. After he refuses, they kidnap him. Sergio brutally murders him while Gato looks on. On the way back, the two die in a car crash, off-panel.
