The Complete Love & Rockets #[21]
In "Remember Me," Gilbert Hernandez delivers a quiet yet charged moment in the lives of Luba’s children, Socorro and Joselito, as they impulsively steal a neighbor’s car to follow their mother one evening. What begins as a reckless act of curiosity spirals into a tense journey through the countryside, where a crash forces them to rely on a stranger—Hector—for help, testing their courage and resourcefulness before they return home just in time. With his signature blend of intimacy and observation, Hernandez handles the story and art, including the cover, in a way that feels both immediate and timeless.
