Luba #2
In "Luba In America Part 2," Gilbert Hernandez continues to weave a tense, grounded narrative as Luba navigates a fragile web of memory and suspicion. After helping an elderly man back to his hotel, she seeks answers from Garza’s daughter about her family’s past—only to be met with confusion and silence. When she returns, the old man is gone, leaving her alone in a city that feels increasingly uncertain. The story’s quiet intensity is matched by Hernandez’s unmistakable art, both in the interior and on the cover, where his expressive line work captures every subtle shift in mood.
