“In the Waters of Eternity: Part One”

In "In the Waters of Eternity: Part One," writer John Marc DeMatteis and artist Liam Roger Sharp launch a mythic journey as Namor and Man-Thing are drawn to the timeless City of the Golden Gate by a vision from Lord Neptune. There, they uncover a fragment of the Nexus of All Realities entwined in the Shroud of Cleito, Atlantis’s most sacred relic—forcing a tense standoff when Namor refuses to risk its desecration. The cover by Liam Sharp captures the eerie grandeur of the moment, as Man-Thing’s fate takes a shocking turn when guardian Evenor reverts him to human form.

A vision from Lord Neptune leads Namor and Man-Thing to the timeless City of the Golden Gate, where they find a fragment of the Nexus of All Realities. However, the fragment is woven into the Shroud of Cleito, Atlantis’s most holy artifact, and Namor refuses to desecrate it for any reason. This forces Man-Thing to challenge the city’s guardian, Evenor, who retaliates by changing the swamp creature back into Ted Sallis.
