Marvila, la Mujer Maravilla #233
In "Duelo entre diosas," Marvila, la Mujer Maravilla, narrowly escapes a deadly trap set by the sorceress Osira—only to face her former allies, the Defensores de la Justicia, now mind-controlled by the villain. With the help of Juan Trueno, she overcomes the enslaved heroes and challenges Osira’s belief in divine control, urging her to let humanity choose its own fate. The issue closes with Osira reuniting with Hefnakhti, whose spirit has taken over Steve Trevor’s body, as both vanish into mystery. Written by Alan Brennert and Martin Pasko, with dynamic art by Michael Netzer and Vince Colletta, and a striking cover by Netzer and Colletta, this 1980 issue from Editorial Novaro delivers a powerful clash of wills and ideologies.
