Master of Kung Fu #98

Issue #98 of Master of Kung Fu promises an all-out urban brawl, and the cover by Mike Zeck and Gene Day delivers exactly that mood: Shang-Chi launches a flying kick at a bald, headband-wearing opponent who swings a chain weapon amid overturned garbage cans and scurrying rats — every detail screaming street-level intensity. The "Fight to the Finish!" banner earns its place here, with both fighters depicted mid-collision in a way that makes the kinetic energy practically leap off the page. With Doug Moench's story "The Journey as Goal" backed by the art team of Zeck, Day, and colorist Bob Sharen, this 1981 entry in Marvel's long-running series shows the title still firing on all cylinders.
