This issue contains two stories: the main "Moon Mullins" feature in which Moon gives baseball advice to an umpire who then gets ejected from the game, followed by domestic comedy involving Moon's household and his sister Kitty Higgins' birthday preparations; and a separate story titled "Kitty Higgins" depicting the character's birthday celebration and an encounter with a killer kangaroo that escapes and rampages through town, pursued by armed police and citizens, before Moon decides to abandon his efforts and join the mob.
