In "Love Story," two friends, Carol and Kate, find themselves caught in a tangled web of romance when both fall for the same man, Bruce. Carol and her friend Kate are both searching for love. Both date Bruce, and both think he’s “the one.” Bruce says Carol’s his choice, but she breaks up with him when she later sees him with Kate. Carol dates other men but can’t forget Bruce, and when she gets a letter to meet him, she goes. Bruce says he got a letter from her. Kate sent both letters to reunite them: Carol saw her with Bruce because he had asked Kate to help him pick out an engagement ring for Carol. Bruce and Carol get married.
