Marie doesn’t want to share her boyfriend Larry with anyone else, including their friends. When she’s injured and confined to a wheelchair, Marie suddenly has Larry’s undivided attention and enjoys it. Even when the doctor says she’s “as good as new,” Marie pretends to be unable to walk. When Larry finds out, he says “you’re nothing but a self-centered, spoiled brat!” and breaks up with her. Marie tries to forget her troubles by helping a blind student study for her final exams. This makes Larry change his mind and return to Marie.
