Mysterious Adventures #20
In "Ghoulash," a 1954 tale from Mysterious Adventures #20, the cruel and self-absorbed chef Francois Nicole reigns over a life of excess and cruelty—until his family's suffering reaches a breaking point. Written with sharp, unsettling precision, the story unfolds with a chilling inevitability as the consequences of his abuse come to a grotesque head. The interior art by Dick Beck and Bill Savage brings a stark, unsettling realism to this early horror tale, while the cover by an unknown artist sets the tone with a haunting, visceral image.
