“Moonfire”

In "Moonfire," Prophet finds himself pulled into a desperate mission across time when a future version of his friend Kirby reaches out from 175 years ahead, pleading for rescue. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Stephen Platt, with inks by Marlo Alquiza, Danny Miki, and Jon Sibal, and colors by Christian Lichtner and Extreme Color, this issue sees Prophet battling the forces of Rego Spire to bring Kirby home—only for the reunion to take a shocking turn when Kirby turns on him with a gun. The cover, also by Stephen Platt, captures the tension of the moment in stark, dynamic detail.
