Kirby has felled Prophet and Dr. Wells races to find a solution that will keep his friend from eternally dying and having to be resurrected. He decides to use a nu-gene from one of the Newmen to stabilize Prophet's system and sends Kirby to get one; Kirby abducts Exit and brings her back to the lab. The angry Newmen follow. Meanwhile, Prophet's mind is off in a feudal world battling the forces of War-Raven. Once the surgery is completed and Prophet wakes up, Dr. Wells tells him his true origin story.
