Sam Webb owns a powerful radio station and loves nothing more than spinning records and spinning yarns—improvising wild stories about whatever he sees outside his window. But when he spots a flying saucer hovering over the city and describes it live on air, Sam doesn't realize his broadcasts have traveled far beyond Earth, and someone on Mars is listening very intently. What starts as another night of talk and records becomes something far more dangerous when uninvited visitors arrive at the station with a very specific complaint about his show.

A couple stuck indoors during a storm tunes in to a shocking television broadcast: visitors from Mars are landing at Coney Island, and they're hostile. As the broadcast escalates from eyewitness reports to martial law declarations to the grim reality that Earth's defenses are crumbling, our two viewers watch in horror as the alien invaders make their chilling announcement—the planet has been conquered, and resistance is futile. All that's left is to flee into the unknown and hope for survival.
