Radio Fun #983 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "The Falcon" follows the exploits of a master criminal who has stolen a priceless pearl from Colonel Steel's home in Africa and makes his escape by air to Farley Grange, where police and inspectors attempt to apprehend him. "Norman Wisdom" depicts the titular character in a humorous department store scenario where, as a hat counter assistant, he causes chaos while trying to help a customer. "Andy and Sandy" tells of young Andy Wilson, who runs away from his bullying stepmother and encounters three pickpockets, attempting to stop them from stealing while his dog Sandy assists him. The issue also includes an article on comedian Chic Murray discussing his career in stage, radio, and television.
