The issue features a story in which a cowboy named Lance attempts to frame a woman named Donna for murder by staging a killing to make her look responsible, but his plan backfires when Donna's shot proves more accurate than his own. After Lance's boots slip during his escape, Donna shoots him and turns him in to the sheriff. The story concludes with Donna arriving at a horseshoe-themed establishment called the Horseshoe, where she reunites with her Uncle Fred and meets Racey Mottram, a charming man who invites her friends to visit his newly opened roadside inn. The issue ends with the Horseshoe seeming to become a successful social hub, featuring dancing and merrymaking among the townspeople.
