This anthology issue contains eight stories celebrating historical figures and wartime achievements. Featured are accounts of the film Bataan, depicting soldiers holding ground for the Four Freedoms; Roy Rogers in Song of Texas, a rodeo-themed adventure; and Leslie Howard designing aircraft in Spitfire. Additional stories include Corvettes in Action, documenting cameraman Richard Rosson's transatlantic voyage aboard Canadian naval vessels; King of the Guerrillas, following a soldier's exploits; Never Say Die, depicting an aerial bombing campaign; and brief features on Disney's Victory Through Air Power and the presidential dog Fala. One story follows fur trapper John Colter's historical journey from the Pacific Northwest through Yellowstone to St. Louis.
