In "Man of the House," Richie is tasked with running the household during his father’s fishing trip—only to be quickly outmaneuvered by Cynthia, Mrs. Friggle’s daughter, who takes charge of their game of "house" with full enthusiasm. As the pretend "lady of the house," Cynthia puts Richie through a series of chores, from moving furniture to babysitting a stuffed animal, leaving him exhausted and ready to surrender. When both mothers return, the roles are hilariously reversed, and Richie finally understands what his father went through—though he’s not sure he’d trade places with him.

Jo and the gang visit Richie, only to be told he’s grounded and stuck in his room. Fifteen minutes later, they peek in—and find him lounging in a sea of toys, snacks, and every luxury a kid could dream of.

In "A Matter of Luck," Richie and his friends set off on a hiking adventure, each clutching a four-leaf clover they’ve just found—sure it’ll bring them good fortune.
