In "Richie's Richie," young Richie daydreams about growing up to marry Gloria and have a son just like him—overindulged, germ-averse, and perfectly pampered. The thought unsettles him, so he defiantly stops combing his hair and dives into the mud, only to be whisked away for a bath. There, in the tub, he makes a determined vow: his future son will never get the same fuss and attention he does.

In "Playing Hooky," Jo finds herself running late for school, only to arrive after the morning bell has rung. Instead of facing the consequences, she decides to skip the rest of the day, spending hours hiding from classmates and teachers—only to discover, much to her surprise, that her absence went entirely unnoticed.
