In "Richie's Richie," young Richie imagines a future where he and Gloria marry and have a son just as spoiled and germ-averse as he is—until the thought of such a pampered heir makes him reconsider. Deciding he won’t raise a child with all the fuss and attention he’s had, he defiantly refuses to comb his hair and dives into the mud, only to be swiftly sent to take a bath. There, he resolves to give his future son a very different kind of upbringing.

In "Playing Hookey," Jo finds herself running late for school and, rather than face the consequences, decides to skip class and hide all day—only to discover, much to her relief, that her absence went completely unnoticed.
