“The Wrath of the Storm King!”

In "The Wrath of the Storm King!", a wealthy Earthman flees a future where overpopulation forces even the elite to farm weekly, only to find a lush, seemingly untouched world—until he learns the planet’s beauty hides deadly flora and a desperate population that demands eight hours of labor just to survive. Written by Stan Lee and Larry Lieber, with art by Larry Lieber and lettering by Artie Simek, this issue unfolds with a quiet dread beneath its offbeat premise. The cover by Paul Reinman captures the eerie contrast of paradise and peril.

In the future, Earth is overpopulated, and even the very rich must work an hour on a farm each week to produce enough food. A rich man leaves Earth and finds a sparsely-populated and fertile planet to live on. He discovers that the plants are actually predatory, and that the few peaceful inhabitants are so short of food that he must work eight hours a day to feed himself.
