Sgt. Fury #89
In "Fury Fights Alone!", Sgt. Nick Fury leads a high-stakes mission in 1971 Germany to destroy a new Nazi weapon, only to be wounded and captured. With his left eye injured, he narrowly escapes custody with the aid of a German soldier who chooses to defect, forcing Fury to make a tough decision: undergo a lengthy recovery or stay in the field. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life by Dick Ayers' dynamic art and John Tartaglione's inks, this issue captures Fury at his most isolated and resolute. The cover, also by Ayers and Tartaglione, perfectly frames the tension of a lone warrior in a world of shadows.
