Simpsons Comics #146
In "Marge the Sellout," Marge Simpson’s attempt to clear out the attic spirals into an unexpected online shopping obsession when Lisa suggests using eBuy. What starts as a simple decluttering effort quickly spirals out of control as Marge sells nearly everything they own—without telling Artie Ziff—forcing the family to move in with Grampa. Written by Ian Boothby and illustrated by Phil Ortiz, with inks by Mike DeCarlo, colors by Art Villanueva, and letters by Karen Bates, this 2008 Titan Comics issue captures the chaos of modern consumerism with a familiar Springfield twist. The cover, by Bill Morrison and Jason Ho with inks by Mike Rote, perfectly captures Marge’s determined new lifestyle.
