In the Temple of the Dragon's Breadth, the Warriors battle the Folding Circle and quickly defeat them. Tai restrains the Warriors and explains the pact she made with Chord and Night Thrasher's father back in Viet Nam. She also tells them the origins of the Well of All Things and the power of the Dragon's Breadth, a power she plans on using to take over the world. The only thing she needs to finally accomplish this is the sacrifice of the Warriors themselves. Back home, both the Thing and Vance's mother testify in his murder trial.
