"Fate Has a Thousand Faces" begins when a mysterious specter tells a couple they will both meet death that evening. A woman named Mignon, a ventriloquist performing at a theater, uses her dummy to entertain while her companion George watches the act. Police investigate the death of a woman named Mrs. Talbott, whose husband Frank was killed with a barbecue fork two weeks prior, and suspect Mary Drake, a wealthy playboy involved with Frank. As the investigation unfolds, a man named Leonard becomes jealous of his wife Yvonne's affections and considers murder, but a shadow appears at the window—the specter's presence—suggesting fate will intervene to claim them both before they can act on their dark desires.

In "Death Holds an Auction," a treasure-hunting couple ventures into the depths of a sunken Spanish galleon, lured by rumors of gold and haunted by an ancient Aztec curse. Their guide, Pedro—a man with a quiet demeanor and a mysterious past—leads them deeper into the wreck, where the line between legend and nightmare begins to blur. As the sea grows darker and the air thickens with dread, the true nature of the curse is revealed in a form both monstrous and inevitable.

Fate Has a Thousand Faces!
5 pp · Horror-Suspense

Georges Dufy, a Parisian man-about-town, becomes obsessed with Mignon, the beautiful girl ventriloquist he sees perform night after night at the Theatre Comique—but he's troubled by her refusal to be seen in public and her strange attachment to her dummy, Fifi. When he finally tracks her down at her home, his carefully imagined romance takes a shocking and horrifying turn that neither his heart nor his pride can bear.

Chant of the Dead
7 pp · Horror-Suspense

When detective Jerry Maxon arrives at the apartment of society woman Frances Talbott—stabbed to death with a barbecue fork—the case grows stranger by the hour: her late husband Frank, who died of heart failure just two weeks prior, was an explorer with a passion for exotic artifacts, and a rare three-pointed spear has vanished from his collection. As Marvyn Drake, the wealthy playboy linked to the victim, spirals into madness claiming Frank Talbott's ghost has returned to exact revenge, Jerry begins to suspect the truth runs far deeper than a simple crime of passion. With a supernatural edge and a web of secrets wrapped around an old explorer's curious death, this tale weaves murder, obsession, and forces beyond the grave.

The Frozen Bride
6 pp · Horror-Suspense

In the frozen Arctic, an ugly man named Henry Jackson guards a dangerous secret: his beautiful wife Yvonne has fallen in love with Leonard Ward, the assistant sent to help him at a remote research station. As tension builds between the three snowbound companions, Henry grows suspicious of their affection, and a tragic confrontation in a raging blizzard will force Leonard to discover just how far a jealous man will go to keep what he claims as his own. A chilling tale of isolation, forbidden love, and the unforgiving Arctic itself.
