SubHuman #4
In "Rapture And The Deep (Chapter 4)," Krill’s crew races toward the Antarctic Ocean, where they intercept Kenneally’s descending bathysphere—only to see it torn loose by torpedoes and swallowed by writhing black tentacles. With Kenneally transformed into the grotesque, anti-life entity Urschlime, all seems lost—until Krill, diving into the abyss, hears a whisper: "Your name is your greatest gift." Written by Mark Schultz and Michael Ryan, with art by Roger Petersen and inks by Petersen and Mark Lipka, this haunting chapter pulses with dread and revelation, the cover by Schultz capturing the moment’s chilling intensity.

Krill's crew pilots the Nayad to the Antarctic Ocean. They find Kenneally's ship lowering his own bathysphere. They fire torpedoes and the bathysphere is cut loose. Black tentacles enfold it. Krill takes an air tank and dives. As tentacles recede, Kenneally transforms into the rubbery monster Urschlime, champion of anti-life. Things looks bad, until Krill hears a voice saying, "Your name is your greatest gift." Krill summons millions of krill, the "grass of the sea". So much glowing life overwhelms the Urschlime until a torpedo blows it apart.
