☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeYoung Ollie accidentally causes domestic chaos when he welds the wrong pipes together, flooding the house, and later destroys the flower bed. To make amends with his father, Ollie dons a magical Super-Brat cape that grants him miraculous powers. He then leads the neighborhood kids on a chaotic "bee hike" downtown that goes wildly awry, with the children mistaking it for a jaywalking excursion and causing confusion throughout the busiest streets. The story follows Ollie's misadventures as his superhero antics and well-intentioned schemes consistently backfire and create more problems than they solve.
A young troublemaker named Ollie discovers a magical cape in his family's attic that grants him extraordinary strength, speed, and the ability to fly—and he's determined to keep his newfound powers secret from his parents. As Ollie tests the limits of his abilities around the house, his well-meaning but chaotic attempts to help accidentally create chaos, culminating in an incident that inadvertently impresses his father's business associates. Now equipped with superhuman powers, Ollie must learn to balance his mischievous nature with the responsibility that comes with being super.
Young Ollie wants nothing more than to earn his Scout badges by doing good deeds, but his well-intentioned efforts keep backfiring in hilariously destructive ways—from mistaking a clothes washer for a dishwasher to literally turning his family's house around. When his parents finally catch on to the chaos, Ollie learns a hard lesson about the difference between helping and causing trouble, but staying out of mischief might be harder than he thinks.
When a gang of older boys refuses to let young Ollie join their beeline hike—a daring straight-line trek through town that goes over or through any obstacle in its path—he transforms into Super-Brat to teach them a lesson by sabotaging their journey at every turn. As the hikers navigate department stores, busy streets, and backyards following their compass line, Super-Brat races ahead to move tables, shift barns, and even redirect a Canadian dam to throw them off course. What Ollie doesn't expect is that his interference will lead the hikers down an unexpected road with very real consequences.
