A young troublemaker named Ollie discovers a magical cape in his family's attic that grants him extraordinary strength, speed, and the ability to fly—and he's determined to keep his newfound powers secret from his parents. As Ollie tests the limits of his abilities around the house, his well-meaning but chaotic attempts to help accidentally create chaos, culminating in an incident that inadvertently impresses his father's business associates. When a gang of older boys refuses to let young Ollie join their beeline hike—a daring straight-line trek through town that goes over or through any obstacle in its path—he transforms into Super-Brat to teach them a lesson by sabotaging their journey at every turn. As the hikers navigate department stores, busy streets, and backyards following their compass line, Super-Brat races ahead to move tables, shift barns, and even redirect a Canadian dam to throw them off course. What Ollie doesn't expect is that his interference will lead the hikers down an unexpected road with very real consequences.
