Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by John Buscema with inks by Ricardo Villamonte, this 1986 adventure blends intrigue and danger in the Hyborian Age. Conan affronte Isparana dans une oasis et échange le talisman connu sous le nom d'Œil d'Erlik contre une réplique. Conan et Isparana sont alors capturés par des esclavagistes, mais bientôt libérés par Arsil, le soldat touranien. Conan retourne à Arenjun et remet le talisman à Hisarr Zul, qui tente de le tuer, mais échoue.
