Super Heroes Album #9
In "A Day in the Death of a World!", the Legion of Super-Heroes faces a desperate race against time as the Fatal Five hold the fate of the planet Mordan in their hands. With Tharok’s ship as the battleground and a star on the brink of collapse, the Legion must outwit their foes through cunning and courage. Written by Paul Levitz and brought to life by Mike Netzer’s dynamic art with inks by Jack Abel, this gripping tale sees the heroes escape a self-destructing vessel—leaving the fate of the Fatal Five uncertain. The cover, a striking piece by Mike Grell, captures the tension of the moment.

After delaying the Legion's efforts to save the inhabitants of Mordan, the Fatal Five regroup on Tharok's ship. The Legion mounts a sneak attack on the ship and tricks Tharok into revealing where the control for the device causing the star to go nova is.
