Amazo ist aus seinem künstlichen Schlaf gerissen worden. Ausgerechnet eine hohe Strahlung von roter Sonnenenergie hat das verursacht, denn dadurch wird auch der Stählerne geschwächt. Amazo will daß sein Erfinder Prof. Ivo ihn wieder in Schlaf versetzt und dazu ist ihm jedes Mittel Recht. Amazo kann den Professor und Superman stellen und holt zum entscheidenden Schlag aus. Der Rest der Gerechtigkeitsliga ist von dem Kunstwesen, welches alle Fähigkeiten der Mitglieder besitzt, in eine unbekannte Dimension geschleudert worden.
