“The Birth of... the Hulk-Killer!”

In "The Birth of... the Hulk-Killer!", Bruce Banner races against time as he clings to a missile hurtling toward New York City, using his wits to redirect it before his transformation into the Hulk. With General Ross convinced the Hulk is behind the attack, he unleashes the Leader’s most advanced humanoid robot to stop the jade giant—while Boomerang, armed with upgraded weapons, prepares to strike. Stan Lee’s gripping script and John Buscema’s dynamic art bring the tension to life, with Gene Colan’s striking cover capturing the chaos.

Banner is hanging on the Orion missile heading for the heart of New York City and is able to change its course before he transforms to the Hulk once again. Military genius that he is, Ross thinks that it is the Hulk who tried to blow up New York and activates the Leader's most powerful Humanoid robot to take on the jade giant. Meanwhile Boomerang has vastly improved his weaponry and is ready to take on the Hulk.
