This is an anthology issue containing multiple stories. The first story depicts Marines trapped in a building during combat, attempting to escape through the roof while enemy forces close in, with a sergeant revealing that a sabotage assignment was actually a setup orchestrated by a superior officer. "Short Timer," by Staff Sergeant C. F. X. Houts, follows Corporal DeSantis and his rifle squad holding a frozen Korean hill during the night, dealing with sniper fire and the psychological strain of their dangerous position. "Mabel and the Snorkel" features characters Monty and Mabel attempting to recover a stolen military payroll from thieves operating near a weapons testing ground, leading to a chase and confrontation.
