In the future, the leader of the Resistance against the artificial intelligence Skynet, John Connor, sends a protector (a T-800 Terminator) back into the past to protect himself as a boy. John has been targeted by a new more highly advanced terminator (T-1000) sent back in time. Present-day John Connor teams up with his mother Sarah and the T-800, and together they attack the company Cyberdyne in order to prevent Skynet from ever being created. They encounter the T-1000 for one final showdown in a factory.
