Peter wants to move to Kansas to take a new research job and Mary Jane is torn as she considers leaving New York to support her husband. Silver Sable hires Spider-Man and Sandman to help her bring down Neo-Nazi leader Franz Kraus who wants to buy his own state and start the Fifth Reich in America. After the adventure is concluded, Spider-Man returns home to find Mary Jane has packed her bags and is willing to move to Kansas with him. Peter tells her that he has decided to go back to school for an advanced degree so that they can stay in New York where they have built a solid life.
