The Amazing Spider-Man Fearful Symmetry: Kraven's Last Hunt #[nn]
In "The Coffin," the final chapter of *Kraven's Last Hunt*, Spider-Man confronts Kraven in a tense showdown that ends not in battle, but in a grim revelation. After claiming to have surpassed Spider-Man by wearing his costume and burying him, Kraven forces the hero into a deadly trial against Vermin—only to spare him at the last moment. With the hunt over, Kraven retreats into a coffin, places a shotgun in his mouth, and prepares to end it all. Written by J. M. DeMatteis and illustrated with haunting intensity by Mike Zeck—whose art defines the issue’s cover and interior—this pivotal moment in *The Amazing Spider-Man* remains a haunting, character-driven climax.
