Jan 2025 · DC · 2.99 USD
“Booked Up”

In "Booked Up," Gotham’s newest librarian, Barbara Gordon, kicks off her first day with a surprise visit from her dad, Commissioner James Gordon, and the Mystery, Inc. gang—only to be interrupted by the unnervingly polite Grotesque, a master thief with a demon mask and a penchant for luxury, flanked by ghost henchmen in silk sheets. Written by Sholly Fisch and illustrated by Puste, with colors by Carrie Strachan and letters by Saida Temofonte, this 2025 DC adventure blends detective charm with Gotham’s edge, all wrapped in a cover by Puste.

On her first day working at the Gotham Public Library, Barbara Gordon is pleasantly surprised by a visit from her dad, GCPD Commissioner James Gordon, and the Mystery, Inc. gang - and unpleasantly surprised by a visit from Grotesque, an impeccably dressed master thief wearing a demon's head mask and with an "exquisite taste for the finest things in life". Grotesque is accompanied by two henchmen dressed as ghosts, but wearing only the best sheets "made of silk with a very high thread count". In action, Barbara deftly keeps her secret, formerly being Batgirl and now being Oracle, from her dad.
