Batman and the Metal Men team up in this 1977 edition of The Brave and the Bold, and the cover by Jim Aparo wastes no time setting the stakes — a dark-haired villain declares he's taking over Gotham City while Batman tumbles amid an explosion of debris, caught in the stretching red limbs of one Metal Man as several others watch from a nearby rooftop. The cover's kinetic energy and the ominous taunt ("Even if the Metal Men save you… you're finished!") make this pairing feel genuinely urgent. Bob Haney's script paired with Aparo's fluid, expressive linework promises one of the team-up title's more colorful clashes.
