This anthology issue features two stories. "Big Brother's Heartbreak" stars Dr. Tom Rogers, a prison psychiatrist, who discusses the case of young delinquent Danny Hudson and the psychological challenges posed by his warped mind and criminal tendencies. "The Silent Whistle" presents a text story about Sgt. Paul White of the Glendale Police Force, who is coerced into extortion by the ex-Chicago racketeer Johnny Miranda and his thugs; Paul ultimately confesses his crimes to Chief Bradley and is freed from Miranda's grip through Dr. Rogers' intervention. The issue concludes with "Murderer's Nightmare," a Dr. Rogers story in which a man confesses to killing his wife in a jealous rage, achieves psychological relief through confession, and is promised freedom from his torment.
