About the series
In the early 1950s, Ziff-Davis published Crime Clinic, a five-issue series that dissected the seedy underbelly of urban life through taut, hardboiled crime stories. Anchored by the gritty pencils of Bill Molno, Irv Novick, and John Prentice, the comic offered a no-nonsense look at lawbreakers and the detectives who pursued them. Though brief, its run captured the pre-Comics Code era's fascination with true-crime drama and moral ambiguity.
