The Crusades #12

Apr 2002 · DC · 2.50 USD; 4.25 CAD

In *The Crusades* #12, a brutal showdown at a Russian mob compound brings the violent arc to a tense climax, leaving the Pope’s Knight dead and the real Knight critically injured. With a tip from the Pope, Detective Petronas finally locates the compound and closes the case, while the wounded Knight makes a quiet decision to let Venus and the girl go free from the Presidio. Written by Steven T. Seagle and illustrated by Kelley Jones, with inks by Ron Randall, colors by Daniel Vozzo, and letters by Comic Craft, the issue’s haunting tone is matched by Duncan Fegredo’s striking cover.
