The Incredible Hulk #119
In *The Incredible Hulk #119*, Bruce Banner stumbles upon a town under the shadow of a massive robot, its people eerily controlled—until his own mind begins to unravel. Transforming into the Hulk, he charges the hilltop fortress behind the mind control, only to face Maximus the Mad and his ruthless Inhuman allies in a brutal clash. With both the army and the madman demanding his help, the Hulk finds himself caught between enemies old and new. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life by Herb Trimpe’s dynamic art—both interior and on the cover by Trimpe and John Romita—this 1969 issue delivers a classic clash of brute force and cunning.

Bruce Banner is in the country of Costa Salvador when he runs across a town in the shadow of a giant robot whose inhabitants seem to be mind controlled. As he finds his own mind being assaulted, Bruce turns into the Hulk and then attacks a hilltop fortress that seems to be the source of the mental manipulation. Breaking into the fortress, Hulk finds that his foes are Maximus the Mad and his evil band of Inhumans and a battle ensues. The army also attacks the fortress and Maximus talks the Hulk into helping him repel the jade giant's oldest enemies.
