As Cobalt Blue and Overkill fight, Overkill detonates a nuclear device inside of him. Cobalt Blue protects himself from the blast with a blue crystal shield. Scientists looking into the destruction afterward find his cocoon and are attacked by aliens guiding robotic armored forms. The robots kill 2 of the scientists and are stalking the third when they are routed by Cobalt Blue after freeing himself from his cocoon. Cobalt then attacks the alien's ship, but this proves overwhelming, and both Bobbie and Cobalt Blue are captured.
