Written by Gary Friedrich and Ron Whyte, with art by Ogden Whitney and lettering by Sam Rosen, this 1975 issue delivers a tense showdown in the dusty streets of the Old West. The cover, penciled and inked by Gil Kane, captures the moment of rebellion with striking intensity.

The Silver Sidewinder robs banks using hypnotism. The Kid tries to stop him but instead falls under the Sidewinder's spell. The Sidewinder puts the Kid to work, aiding him in robberies, until he demands the Kid shoot Sheriff Barton and the Kid refuses. Breaking the Sidewinder's control, the Kid defeats him.
