A criminal known as "the Garron" attempts what he believes is the perfect crime—a jewelry heist involving counterfeit money—but police thwart his plan and he is arrested. While imprisoned, the Garron tries to hide his counterfeit bills by placing them on top of genuine currency, but investigators discover the scheme and seize all the money. On January 10, 1950, Garron is executed in the electric chair, demonstrating that there is no such thing as a perfect crime.
