Daniel confronts Celeste about the head in the box she was taking to ship and she claims that Mr. Payne gave it to her without telling her what was inside. Sian catches up with Daniel and begins to hound him about the Scream. When they are both injured in a bike accident, Daniel saves her life and rides with her to the hospital. Mr. Payne questions Celeste about the missing package and has her killed. Daniel learns of Celeste's murder and heads out to confront her boss. He runs into Mort who is intent on returning him to Belle Foux sanitarium and manifests a heroic version of the Scream.
